A practical desk for 3D files.
GLBDesk is an independent utility for inspecting and exchanging web-ready 3D assets. It focuses on complete local resources, explicit units and understandable export limits.
How support is tested
The conversion engine uses original fixtures with known dimensions, multiple materials, UV checker textures, transformed mesh instances and dynamic scene data. Tests cover resource failures, unsupported extensions, geometry, material references and browser behavior. Output files are also checked with independent readers during development.
Last development validation: 23 September 2026. Desktop checks cover Chromium, Firefox, WebKit, installed Chrome and a Safari smoke test. Mobile layouts were tested with simulated viewports; physical phones have not yet been verified. The current engine version is 0.1.0. The downloadable conversion report identifies the checks performed for your specific output. A model loading in the viewer is not a promise that all its data can be exported to another format.
Open-source foundations
- Three.js — 3D rendering, loaders and mathematical utilities, MIT.
- glTF Transform — scene and resource serialization, MIT.
- Khronos glTF Validator — format validation, Apache-2.0.
- fflate — ZIP processing, MIT.
The static exporters are implemented for GLBDesk’s documented subset. Online3DViewer and three-gltf-viewer informed the engineering review; this site does not redistribute their user interfaces or claim affiliation. Full bundled dependency notices are available in the license record.

Useful problem reports
Keep the engine version, error code, chosen formats and units. A small model you can share publicly is more useful than a private production asset. This version does not provide a model-upload support channel.
